Profile

Dr. Richa Dua migrated to Australia after completing her basic medical training in India. She then trained in The Townsville Hospital and finished her General Practice ( FRACGP) training in Townsville.

She has a special interest in Child Health, Mental Health and Women’s Health and has completed a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney. Dr Dua also worked as a Registrar in Mental Health services at The Townsville hospital to gain more experience in Community Mental Health. She has completed a certificate course in Skin Cancer Medicine and Dermoscopy and also holds a certificate in Family Planning.

Dr. Richa Dua has been teaching future doctors of North Queensland at The School of Medicine, JCU since 2008.

When not working, she looks after her family and is very active in participating in community events. Dr Dua is interested in different cultures and enjoys reading (mostly non-fiction).

She believes in a holistic approach to patient care and that healthy families’ make happy communities!
